Terms and Conditions

Please review these before we begin working together:

Coaching sessions

These are normally 60 minutes long although the first session may last up to 75 minutes.

We will agree a time and date ahead of our meeting.

Coaching may be done as a single session or over multiple sessions.  We will discuss the best approach as we work together.

For on-line meetings, I will ask that you have a quiet, private space and have checked the technology is working correctly prior to our appointment.

In the event that you do not attend a session on time, I will wait for ten minutes before contacting you by email and then wait a further ten minutes before closing the session.  I regret that I cannot usually offer you extra time if you are late as this will impact another client.

Payment

60 minute sessions will be charged at £50 per session and are payable at least 48 hours in advance.  If you need a concessionary rate or would like to “pay forward” to support others in need, please let me know.

Session rates are reviewed annually in January each year.

Cancellations

You can rearrange/cancel appointments up to 48 hours in advance of their meeting. After this time, please email drsandraroscoe@gmail.com. If you need to cancel with less than 48 hours notice or do not attending an agreed consultation without notice you will incur the full charge (for appointments after 31 August 2026).

Under exceptional circumstances e.g. health emergencies, family crisis or similar unexpected and unavoidable situations the charge for late cancellation may be waived.

In the unlikely event that I need to cancel or rearrange a session, I will give you as much notice as possible.  If we cannot rearrange it at your convenience, I will give you a refund if that session has already been paid for.

Confidentiality

Our conversations are private and confidential with some limited exceptions.  Like most coaches, I have regular clinical supervision in order to maintain high standards of care and might discuss your case in supervision although I would avoid using identifying information in these conversations.

If you were to tell me something that suggested you were a risk to yourself or others, then, like other coaches, I have a duty to break confidentiality e.g. if you tell me that you are highly likely to harm yourself or someone else, if I am instructed to do so by a court or if you share information about a proposed act of terrorism.   In the unlikely event that I need to break confidentiality I would usually discuss this with you first.

Boundaries and dual relationships

Maintaining therapeutic boundaries is important so that the coaching you receive is ethical and effective.  A coach having a dual relationship with a client e.g. friend and coach is not considered appropriate and may be damaging to client wellbeing.  Therefore, I maintain my relationship with clients as wholly professional and only as their coach.

In order to maintain the boundaries of our relationship, I do not normally interact with my clients on social media.  If our paths do happen to cross e.g. clients who live in my local area, I will keep our coaching relationship confidential and I am happy to discuss this further if applicable.
